On April 8, Donetsk TV correspondent Oleksiy Merkulov filmed the evacuation of civilians at Kramatorsk railway station when an explosion erupted. According to official data, 50 were killed and 98 were injured in the attack. According to the head of the Donetsk regional military administration Pavlo Kyrylenko, 38 people died on the spot, 12 – in hospital.
